Nobody told Hannah that zombies were real. In fact, everyone told her that they were fictional and that she shouldn't be scared of them because it was a stupid phobia that would never happen. Not wanting to feel smug about being right (because everyone else is dead and it's rude to be smug about people being dead), she is still glad she was always so zombie-aware and therefore survived.

Also, should vampires or flying monster pterodactyls arrive any time soon, she is fully prepared for them too. Having had one housemate turn all dead, Hannah does regular checks on the other two just to make sure they're still alive, as sometimes it's hard to tell.
